Where exceptional people gather for fellowship, athletics, and meaningful experiences.
The Baton Rouge Ancient Athlete Society is a community-driven sports and social organization for men aged 30 and older who value competition, connection, and giving back.

BRAAS was founded on a simple idea: create a place where men can stay active, build genuine friendships, and support each other through every season of life. Over the years, this purpose has shaped a culture built on tradition, teamwork, and mutual respect.
Our legacy continues to grow because members don't just join a league—they join a community that values fellowship, leadership, and service as much as athletic competition. What began decades ago as a small group of local athletes has grown into a thriving brotherhood of more than 400 members who stay engaged through year-round sports, lifelong friendships, and meaningful service to one another.

Membership in BRAAS offers more than weekly games. It creates opportunities for men to build lasting relationships, expand their professional networks, and contribute to something larger than themselves.
Whether competing, volunteering, or attending social events, every interaction reinforces the sense of brotherhood that defines our organization.

BRAAS offers a full lineup of leagues and athletic events designed for all skill levels:
Each season emphasizes fair play, team spirit, and healthy competition—giving members a chance to stay active and engaged throughout the year.

Sports may bring us together, but our social events strengthen the bonds. BRAAS regularly hosts activities that include members, spouses, children, and friends, helping the organization feel like an extended family.
Events include:
These moments off the field are a core part of the BRAAS experience.

Our charitable initiative, BRAAStrong, reflects the heart of our organization.
When members or their families face hardship, BRAAStrong steps forward to provide financial and emotional support. Through fundraising, donations, and community involvement, we ensure that no member faces adversity alone.
